Exceptional retailers take the spotlight at Retail Asia Awards 2026
The awards programme gathered leaders credited for innovation in the Asia Pacific retail industry.
As Asia Pacific’s retail sector evolves rapidly, businesses are adapting to consumer expectations, digital disruption, and demand for seamless customer experiences. These factors have redefined industry standards, pushing retailers and brands to innovate in terms of customer engagement, sustainability initiatives, omnichannel strategies, and operational excellence.
These achievements were celebrated at the Retail Asia Awards 2026, held on 3 June 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, honouring companies and organisations whose efforts shape the future of retail in the Asia Pacific region.
The Retail Asia Awards 2026 celebrated transformative business practices whilst also providing a platform for businesses to strengthen their industry presence. Amongst those recognised was Vipul Chawla, Group Chief Executive Officer of FairPrice Group, who was honoured with the CEO of the Year award. In his acceptance speech, Chawla dedicated the accolade to the people behind FairPrice Group’s success, saying: “Whilst I am honoured to receive this award, this award actually belongs to my colleagues, my friends, my brothers and sisters who work so hard every day for so many years and who continue to work hard late into the evening, early in the morning, so that you can get your daily essentials every day.”
The award winners were selected by an esteemed panel of judges composed of respected industry experts and consultants. The panel included Olivier Gergele, Asia Pacific EY-Parthenon Consumer Leader at EY; Quan Yao Peh, Research Consultant, Retail and Digital Consumer at Euromonitor International; Cath Jowett, National Sector Lead, Consumer & Retail and Partner, Workforce & HR Advisory at KPMG; David Eu, Partner, F&B, Retail and Consumer Products at RSM Singapore; Siddharth Pathak, Senior Partner and APAC Leader for Consumer and Retail Practice at Kearney; and Brian Man, Partner and Retail and Consumer Industry Leader at PwC Australia.
