RLC’s Robinsons Malls Clinches triple honours for the Philippines at Retail Asia Awards 2026
The company was recognised for eco-friendly design, regional expansion, and community-centred mall innovation.
As a beacon of progress, stability, and responsible growth, Robinsons Land Corporation continues to shape the future of Philippine retail through developments that champion sustainability, regional economic expansion, and community-centred innovation.
This commitment was reaffirmed at the Retail Asia Awards 2026, where Robinsons malls earned three major recognitions — Eco-Friendly Mall of the Year - Philippines, New Mall of the Year - Philippines, and Regional Mall of the Year - Philippines — underscoring the group’s long-term vision of building future-ready malls that serve not only as commercial destinations but also as vital civic and cultural hubs. The awards reflect Robinsons Malls’ strategic approach to creating resilient, climate-conscious, and inclusive developments that deliver lasting value to communities, business partners, and stakeholders across the country.
Robinsons Magnolia was named the Eco-Friendly Mall of the Year - Philippines for its successful integration of renewable energy and circular waste systems. The mall expansion operates on 100% renewable energy through a dedicated power supply agreement. Inside the mall, skylights and clerestory windows reduce energy use whilst creating bright spaces for visitors. Its Green Residuals Waste Management programme, which includes Renew-a-Bottle machines, collects over 400 PET bottles each month. The mall also supports low-carbon transport by providing electric vehicle charging stations and bicycle facilities.
Further strengthening Robinsons Malls’ regional growth strategy in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Robinsons Pagadian was recognised as New Mall of the Year - Philippines following its successful opening in April 2025. The mall recorded 160,000 visitors on its first day and achieved nearly 100% occupancy with 168 stores. Its design draws inspiration from the Mindanaoan vinta, featuring colourful geometric forms on the façade. Robinsons Pagadian introduced the city’s first cinemas and walkators alongside 93 national brands that improved local access to premium retail. It also hosts monthly job fairs to support regional employment.
Robinsons Malolos earned the title of Regional Mall of the Year - Philippines for its role as a dynamic cultural, economic and civic landmark in Central Luzon. The mall hosted the opening of the Singkaban Festival, which attracted 600,000 visitors to its atrium. It supports the local economy through quarterly job fairs that match up to 800 seekers with employers. Robinsons Malolos also provides the only free multi-level parking in the city and a transport terminal serving seven routes. During times of heavy flooding, the mall offers its parking spaces to residents as a safe refuge for vehicles.
