Sephora China partners with Yatsen to strengthen premium beauty offering

Launch spans 300 locations nationwide.

Sephora China has partnered with Yatsen Group to introduce Perfect Diary to its nationwide retail network, expanding its portfolio of premium beauty brands with science-backed cosmetics developed in China.

Perfect Diary products will be available in about 300 Sephora stores, including locations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. The launch marks the brand's entry into Sephora China as Yatsen expands its presence in the premium beauty market.

Since 2020, Yatsen has invested about $100m (RMB700m) in research and development, establishing research centers in China and Europe to support product innovation.

The Sephora lineup includes the Perfect Diary Biolip Essence Lipstick 3.0 and Biolip Essence Matte Lipstick 3.0, which use patented biotechnology designed to improve makeup wear whilst providing anti-wrinkle skincare benefits.

Also included is the Perfect Diary Translucent Blurring Setting Powder, featuring Smartlock™ technology developed with the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, for targeted oil control.

Yatsen said the partnership also supports its international expansion plans, with Perfect Diary expected to enter Hong Kong SAR and other overseas markets in the future.
