MR. D.I.Y. Indonesia wins two awards at Retail Asia Awards 2026
The retailer retained its Household Goods Retailer of the Year - Indonesia title for the second consecutive year.
MR. D.I.Y. Indonesia won Operations Team of the Year - Indonesia and Household Goods Retailer of the Year - Indonesia in the Retail Asia Awards 2026. This recognition follows a year of significant footprint expansion and operational upgrades across its retail network.
The company grew its network to 1,226 stores across 37 provinces by the end of 2025, opening 272 new locations throughout the year of 2025. This rapid expansion supported a 16.7% year-on-year increase in full-year 2025 revenue, which reached IDR7.9t. Gross profit rose 16.8% to IDR4.4t, whilst net profit grew 4.9% to IDR1.1t. Total transactions across the network reached 100.3 million, marking a 12.9% increase from the previous year.
To support this growth, the Retail Management team introduced critical process innovations to ensure consistent service and product availability. The team reduced stocktake duration by 50%, allowing stores to remain open and ready for customers with minimal disruption. It also transformed the inbound receiving workflow by shifting from individual stock-keeping unit scanning to carton-level scanning. This overhaul cut receiving time and accelerated shelf replenishment across all locations.
Digital tools further enhanced operational efficiency. The company deployed a centralised platform for real-time task management and store communications, which replaced manual reporting systems. To identify high-potential store locations with precision, the retailer utilised a Geographic Information System. IT investment rose 31% to IDR100b in 2025 to build a modern operational infrastructure.
In-store modifications also improved the shopping environment. The company introduced waterfall tables to display products and reduced gondola height from 7 feet to 6.5 feet to enhance product visibility. For staff development, structured training investments grew 16.7% year-on-year. Furthermore, a First Contact Resolution system was established to ensure customer complaints received resolution within 48 hours.
