Richemont appoints Laurent Malecaze as President & CEO of Chloé

Laurent joins from dunhill where he directed the business in the past two years.

Switzerland-based holdings group, Richemont, named Laurent Malecaze as President and CEO of the French luxury fashion brand, Chloé, succeeding Riccardo Bellini in the role.

Before Chloé. Laurent had managed the luxury brand Dunhill (another subsidiary of Richemont) where he directed its business turnaround for the past two years. He co-founded the AZ Factory with Alber Elbaz. Before he was appointed President and CEO of Chloé, he served as CEO of New York-based retailer The Webster and a strategic consultant at Bain & Company.

Meanwhile, Bellini has decided to step down after four years as President and CEO, effective by the end of December 2023.

The decision has been made with full cooperation with the Richemont Group for a proper transition and onboarding process for the new creative director.

For his tenure, Bellini has been responsible for the evolution of Chloé, propelling its financial and creative growth. He supervised the appointment of Chemena Kamali as the new creative director and the introduction of her first Fall 24 collection. Bellini’s leadership has brought Chloé into a more purpose-driven and sustainable brand.
