Jason D. Ocampo is a highly accomplished and seasoned IT leader with over twenty years of experience in system implementation, enterprise applications, and IT service management. He combines a unique blend of leadership, organization, and creative problem-solving.
He currently serves as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Technology and Data Privacy Officer (DPO) at NBS Group or National Book Store. In this executive dual role, he oversees all information, communications, and technology operations—including Application Development, Infrastructure, and IT Operations and Governance—while ensuring the organization's data privacy compliance with regulatory bodies.
Mr. Ocampo’s extensive career spans diverse industries and remarkable achievements, including leading the Management Information System (MIS) function for a ground-up insurance firm and successfully led the SAP application management transition from India to Philippines for a global IT distributor. His pioneering spirit also led him to help establish a new SAP Delivery Centre in Mauritius Island, where he provided SAP ABAP training, achieved CMMI Level 5 certification, let and piloted the SAP end-to-end implementation for one of Europe's largest brewery companies.
With significant experience in SAP technologies across multiple functional areas, he consistently leverages his leadership and motivational abilities, alongside a creative and efficient problem-solving approach, to drive both digital transformation and cost-effective solutions for organizations. Jason graduated Cum Laude (With High Honors) in Computer Science and is a Distinguished Alumni Awardee from Systems Technology Institute.

This is the most evident in the launch of Talk N’ Text and PLDT MyDSL in the Philippines, two pioneering telecommunications products that gave Filipinos accessible connectivity options in a fast-growing mobile market still in its infancy in the early 2000s.
Known to his colleagues simply as Jon Jon, he believes the most impactful marketing can always be found in what is simple, straightforward, and true. Presently, he lends his expertise to retail giant and leading Philippine mall chain SM Supermalls, serving as its Executive Vice President for Marketing. He leads strategies spanning digital, advertising, corporate marketing, media, mall marketing, and crisis management.
Under his direction, SM Supermalls received multiple industry distinctions, the most notable of which are ASEAN’s Strongest Retail Brand of 2025 from Brand Finance, the Agora Award in 2018 for Marketing Company of the Year and a triple win as Organization of the Year at the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards in 2025, 2019 and 2018. In recognition of his leadership excellence, he was named Executive Brand Builder of the Year at the Panata Awards 2025.
