Yoshitsu Co., Ltd. takes over operations of Hong Kong stores

Excellent Wellbeing International Co., Ltd. previously managed the Hong Kong operations.

Japan-based beauty and health retailer Yoshitsu Co., Ltd has taken over management and operations of its stores in Hong Kong from global management agency Excellent Wellbeing International Co., Ltd. (EWI).

The business cooperation agreement between Yoshitsu and EWI is expected to lapse by 31 December 2023.

With the company taking over Hong Kong operations, Yoshitsu Co., Ltd plans to alter the operating model of the stores and improve the customer experience, profitability, and business performance, to make it tailor-made for Hong Kong customers.

“With the full operational autonomy, we believe that we will be in a better position to align our service standards in Hong Kong and optimize our costs among all the Hong Kong stores,” Mei Kanayama, Principal Executive Officer of Yoshitsu, weighed in.

Yoshitsu Co., Ltd serves as a retailer and wholesaler of Japanese beauty, health, and sundry products in Asia, North America, and the United Kingdom. It currently sells its products through its brick-and-mortar stores, online stores, franchise stores and wholesale centres.
