Taobao, PapaHome partner to launch first furniture superstore in Hong Kong

The store will use an online-merge-offline model.

Taobao Hong Kong has partnered with home improvement platform PapaHome to open the city’s first Taobao furniture and lifestyle superstore.

Located on the 2nd floor of China Hong Kong City in Tsim Sha Tsui, the store will officially open on 22 February 2025.

Spanning over 25,000 square feet, the store will offer over 10,000 products from more than 100 Taobao merchants. It will feature furniture for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, as well as custom furniture and home decor items.

The store will use an Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) model, allowing customers to explore products in-store, scan QR codes for details and discounts, and complete purchases on Taobao. This model combines the convenience of online shopping with the experience of physical stores.

Technologies such as AI and AR will also be used to help customers choose the right products.

The store will feature products from top Chinese companies like GoldenHome Living, Holike Creative Home, Dongpeng Holdings, and Monalisa Group, as well as innovative brands like Ziinlife Designs, SHUZHI Design, Sunon, and Half House, all of which will be available to Hong Kong consumers for the first time.
