Central Retail sees double-digit sales growth in January
This growth accelerated its CRC Retailigence strategy.
Central Retail Corporation reported its same store sales posted a double-digit growth in January 2022 across Thailand, Vietnam, and Italy.
Its omnichannel sales have also recorded a double-digit growth even as a significant number of their customers return to physical stores.
“We are confident in moving forward with the CRC Retailligence strategy that will unlock leaping growth for the company,” Yol Phokasub, Chief Executive Officer of Central Retail, said.
“With continuous optimism, Central Retail looks ahead in expanding its business this coming year.”
The company also reported its fashion segment registered a “strong recovery” over the same period, whilst its property segment saw 85% of the usual number of shoppers return.

The company will be launching a new format of Robinsin Lifestyle in Baan Chang, Rayong province on 3 March 2022, and a GO! Lifestyle mall in Lao Cai city in Vietnam this April. Two new Robinson Lifestyle in the second half of the year will also follow.
This will bring Central Retail’s total shopping centers to 73 by the end of 2022.
“In our hardline segment, we have plans to launch 10 new Thai Watsadu branches, in which the first branch will be launched in Chaiyaphum province on March 17, 2022 – further reinforcing our leading position in omnichannel platform in Thailand's Hardline sector,” Phokasub said.
Central Retail will also accelerate investments across core business segments, new growth opportunities, strategic partnerships and mergers & acquisitions in Thailand and Vietnam.
