
Shiseido announces organisational changes for China, travel retail operations
It is expected to help the brand better serve Chinese consumers.
Shiseido has announced changes to its organizational and management structure for its China and Travel Retail businesses, as part of its "Action Plan 2025-2026."
The company aims to strengthen the brand foundation, rebuild profitability, and enhance operational governance to drive sustainable growth in volatile market conditions.
The new structure will help Shiseido better serve Chinese consumers, improve business synergies, and focus on high-quality growth and cost efficiency. These changes are designed to ensure long-term profitability and agility in response to market fluctuations.
Toshinobu Umetsu, currently corporate executive officer and CEO of the China Region, will now also serve as corporate executive officer and CEO of the China & Travel Retail Region, effective 31 March.
Philippe Lesné, the current CEO of the Travel Retail Region, will also retire effective 31 March.
