Watsons Opens Heritage Concept Store in Hong Kong
Features nostalgic photo spots and interactive experiences.
Watsons Hong Kong has opened a Heritage Concept Store on Nathan Road in Yau Ma Tei as part of its 185th anniversary celebration.
The store pays tribute to AS Watson's history as Hong Kong's first pharmacy to introduce Western medicine. It features vintage pharmacy-inspired interiors, interactive photo spots and exclusive anniversary merchandise.
Designed around the theme of a traditional dispensary, the store incorporates Watsons' signature green color, a vintage-style signboard, patterned walls, arched details, old-style signage and heritage displays.
Visitors can take photos at three themed areas: a Traditional Medicine Cabinet, a Retro Vanity Corner and a Vintage Bathroom-Themed Zone. Customers who make a purchase will also receive access to a retro newspaper-themed photo booth, where they can print a personalized front-page-style souvenir.
To mark the opening, Watsons has launched limited-edition anniversary products, including the "Watjai" mascot plush series and the "Love Your Organs" blind box collection.
The retailer has also partnered with Bioré, Colgate, Darlie and other brands to introduce retro-themed packaging on selected products.
Other AS Watson Group brands, including PARKnSHOP, Fortress and Watsons Water, will release anniversary merchandise such as lightbox magnets, a retro film camera and a vintage-style bottle opener. The products will debut at the Heritage Concept Store.
