LexisNexis Risk Solutions webinar to highlight fraud prevention strategies for new payment channels

The retail industry is urged to counter fraudulent activities and develop strategies towards early detection.

The increasing integration of digital technologies into the financial landscape is embraced by the retail industry, with many retailers and customers adopting new digital payment channels such as digital wallets and buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) schemes. This has caused disruption in how the industry does business and how it expects consumers to get on board.

Whilst the new payment methods introduced through the latest digital technologies offer convenience and flexibility for both customers and retailers, these have also exposed businesses to new risks. Fraudulent activities have become more prevalent with the adoption of technology in the industry, and these have caused major losses for companies.

Industry players are urged now more than ever to work on ways to prevent fraud from plaguing the industry and to develop strategies for the detection of such activities.

Retail Asia, in partnership with tech company LexisNexis Risk Solutions, will be holding a webinar to discuss how organisations can mitigate new account fraud risk, what strategies can be employed to improve the fraud detection system, and what technologies can be leveraged to protect consumer data.

Titled "Payment Fraud: The intersection of new payment channels in E-commerce, BNPL and Digital Wallet industries,” the webinar will also touch on the current trends amongst retailers in digital payments and improving operational efficiencies amidst threats of fraud.

This event will be held on 08 December 2022, and will feature industry leaders from LexisNexis Risk Solutions as well as invited industry speakers as they share their insights on the topic.
