Hermès revamps Takashimaya flagship store in Singapore
This marks a refreshed chapter since its original opening in 1993.
Hermès has unveiled its newly revamped and expanded flagship store at Singapore’s Takashimaya Department Store, marking a refreshed chapter since its original opening in 1993.
Now spread across three floors, the redesigned space showcases the brand’s sixteen métiers in an environment inspired by Singapore’s lush, tropical landscape.
The updated exterior features a cherry wood facade with intricate, leaf-shaped cut-outs, creating a vine-like effect around the store. Inside, rattan screens soften natural light, and a mosaic water lily motif on the floor greets visitors at both entrances.
The first floor presents a curated selection of beauty, fragrance, and silk collections, while leather goods and equestrian items are displayed on the second floor.
A suspended staircase leads to the third floor, featuring men’s and women’s collections, a circular shoe salon, and an exclusive private lounge.
Designed by Paris-based RDAI, the store embraces nature-inspired forms and textures, with botanical patterns woven into jacquard walls, oak parquet, and terrazzo flooring. Artworks from the Émile Hermès collection and contemporary pieces add an elegant finish, including botanical drawings by François Houtin and equestrian art by Jules Léonard Schmitz.
With this revamp, Hermès strengthens its Singapore presence, inviting both loyal clients and new visitors to explore its expanded collections in a serene, nature-infused space.
