Azad Properties clinches Retail Asia Awards for commercial project inauguration

The inauguration was attended by Their Highnesses, Excellencies, senior investors, and merchants in Jeddah - KSA.

Asset and property management company Azad Properties bagged the Marketing Initiative of the Year - Saudi Arabia category win at the recently held Retail Asia Awards for the successful inauguration of its Souq7 commercial project.

Souq7 provides seven main activities distributed over seven different main zones which include foodstuff, family & entertainment, multi-use, home, electronics, building materials, and automotive zones.

It contains the largest complex of cafes, restaurants, entertainment, a cinema, and five platforms dedicated to holding events and entertainment activities in the city of Jeddah, with an area estimated at more than 50 thousand sqm, and complementary activities such as a hotel, health clinics, and commercial offices. The development rate for the phases of the retail complex reached high numbers consistently.

The inauguration of the project was graced under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince / Khaled Al-Faisal, and the honour of the Governor of Jeddah, His Highness Prince Saud bin Jalawi.

Azad Properties is keen to operate Souq7 using the latest administrative and technological methods, by providing a central control room for the entire project and providing smart monitoring systems to identify individuals and vehicles and monitor internal traffic.

Smart gates will also be used to help regulate traffic, which will be linked to the systems. It will also be linked with the government security system and the provision of environmentally friendly and energy-saving systems.

The idea of Souq 7 is based on filling the growing market gap and the demand from consumers for multi-use open markets with an enjoyable shopping atmosphere that brings back memories of the beautiful time in the diversity and prices offered by all segments of society in a renewed and safe way. It also aims to be one of Jeddah’s landmark shopping destinations that meets the needs of its residents and visitors.

“Souq7 project comes within a series of pioneering projects that Azad Properties intends to launch with a modern, distinguished, and innovative character, inspired by the ambitious vision of His Highness the Crown Prince for our beloved Kingdom 2030 in providing everything that serves its residents and visitors and enriches the quality of life,” the company said.
