Nitori to open its first store in the Philippines

It has also set to expand to Indonesia and India.

Japan-based retailer Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd. has accelerated efforts to enter the Philippine market with its first store in Manila in April 2024.

The store, to be located in Mitsukoshi BGC, Taguig City in the capital region, follows the successful openings in Malaysia and Singapore in 2022.

Nitori Group aims to boost the market with its variety of low-priced, high-quality products, catered to the population and the growing retail demand.

“It is expected to see significant economic growth over a long period of time. It is at the core of the supply chain that supports the Nitori Group. Overseas, we are moving ahead with a system that will allow us to open more than 200 stores to more countries every year as soon as possible,” Akio Nitori, Chairman and CEO of Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd., said.

Currently, Nitori operates over 807 stores in Japan, and overseas locations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It has set plans for expansion in Indonesia and India, with 200 stores each year.
