Dufry signs as master concessionaire at Wuhan Tianhe Airport
The Swiss-based retailer has recently merged with global catering leader Autogrill.
Swiss-based retailer Dufry – soon to be renamed Avolta – has formed a partnership with Hubei Airport Group to serve as a master concessionaire in Wuhan Tianhe Airport.
Through this joint venture, Dufry will heighten the assets from its Dufry-Autogrill merger to expand its travel, F&B, convenience and hybrid offerings, and bolster its presence and confidence in the Chinese market.
From the development phase, the first outlets and hubs from Dufry are expected to open by December 2023 and early January 2024.

Currently, Wuhan Tianhe is touted as the 14th busiest airport in China by passenger traffic, with 2019 alone welcoming more than 27 million passengers.
