Changi Airport Group extends Shilla Travel Retail concession contract until March 2028
The Duty Store operates 22 outlets in Changi Airport.
The contract of Shilla Travel Retail’s (Shilla) perfumes and cosmetic concessions in Changi Group Airport (CAG) will be extended for four more years from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2028.
To date, Shilla covers 22 stores and spans over 7,700 sqm of retail space on all four Changi Airport terminals.
Shilla’s Perfumes and Cosmetics Concession was first awarded a six-year contract in CAG in 2014, then was extended until 2024.
With the extension effective, the concession will introduce 20 new brands of wellness, skincare and cosmetics brands, in addition to its 130 existing brands. Amongst the new brands are Lancaster skincare, Rituals lifestyle and wellness products, skincare from Augustinus Bader, and Apripure which offers natural and clean skincare products.
Other new fragrances from French perfumery Maison Francis Kurkdjian and makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics by celebrity Kylie Jenner.
In 2014, Shilla constructed the world’s first airport beauty duplex store in Terminal 3, housing its luxury Shilla Beauty Loft. It also set up a cutting-edge walkthrough retail concept in Terminal 4, integrating the beauty and liquor areas.
Despite the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, CAG affirms that Shilla’s tenancy extension will continue to provide a first-class beauty and retail experience.
Lim Peck Hoon, executive vice president of CAG’s commercial, shared, “Shilla was one of our steadfast partners that weathered the storm of the pandemic with us. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them to elevate the beauty retail landscape in Changi Airport and capture new opportunities in a post-Covid era.”
