Central Retail invests THB100M in first standalone supermarket

The supermarket is under Tops market for consumers in Eastern Bangkok.

Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited (CRC) has invested some THB100m to launch its first standalone supermarket, under Tops market.

The supermarket on Pattanakarn 30 covers an area of 3,400 square metres. It caters to consumers within Easter Bangkok.

It will also offer more than 17,000 items in seven-room concepts with retail space for stores.

“To reaffirm our position as the best supermarket for Thai people, Tops market is ready to launch a new mode, a standalone supermarket, on Pattanakarn 30,” Stephane Coum, CEO of Central Food Retail under Central Retail, said.

“The new store will cater to modern consumers who prefer shopping near their home so that they do not have to worry about commuting.”

Coum noted CRC recognized the spending potential of the consumers in Eastern Bangkok, which consists of upscale residential areas with many large-scale real estate projects.

There are also many major roads linking the areas of Phattanakarn, Srinakarin and On Nut, he added.

The new standalone market will feature seven highlight zones, including Healthiful, Snacker, Asian Flabours, The BAKER, LOOKS, Baby & Me, and PETSTER.

The will also be a retail area with stores, such as ‘Tops care,’ Mee Family Suki, and food trucks.
