Samsung to provide digital display solutions in Century Square
Property management company in Singapore AsiaMalls Management has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with technology company Samsung to provide digital display solutions for their retail malls, starting with the soon-to-be revamped Century Square in Tampines.
The partnership between the two entities aims to provide shoppers with an enhanced retail experience. Leveraging on Samsung’s strength in display technologies, AsiaMalls’ Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI) plans include various installations of digital displays and features that shoppers can look forward to. This strategic decision addresses adoption of innovative technologies to transform traditional retail spaces, setting the benchmark for digital engagement.
“AsiaMalls Management wants to keep our consumers ahead of the technological retail curve and this partnership will be a game changer for the retail industry as consumers shift towards a more digital experience even in a retail space. With these digital enhancements in the mall, we aim to provide a more immersive environment for the visitors to the mall, as well as provide not only a seamless and convenient shopping experience but an exciting one as well,” said Tan Kee Yong, managing director of AsiaMalls Management.
The MoU also allows AsiaMalls Management to have access to Samsung’s digital display eco-system, comprising integrated offerings such as hardware, software solutions, pre-sales and post-sales services, via their internal resources and select group of partners. More details will be released closer to the opening of the refurbished mall in the second half of 2018.
“We look forward to collaborating with AsiaMalls Management through our range of digital innovations to revolutionise the retail experience for consumers,” said Gan Ta Loong, director, Head CE B2B Singapore, Samsung.
