Go Sport races into the Philippines

French sports retail chain Go Sport recently opened its first Manila store in the summer of 2018.

Located at the new wing of Festival Mall in Alabang, the expansive store retails a wide array of athletic brands and item categories housed under one roof. This includes all the go-to sports brands as well as burgeoning new names that are making waves in sports retail around the world, according to the company. The store is laid out by interest (such as fitness, mountaineering, cycling, competitive sports and more) and a customisation station is available where shoppers can have their names imprinted on jerseys and other items.

To simulate the sporting experience as accurately as possible for customers, the store has a miniature driving range in its golf section, as well as a treadmill where shoppers can decide if the shoes feel right while simulating actual intended use. Select stations in the store, such as the cycling department, can also assemble equipment to the customers' exact specifications.

A slew of celebrated ambassadors -- led by Filipino professional boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao -- graced the press launch. The brand said more branches in other parts of the metro will be unveiled in the future.
