Philippines' Potato Corner opens first store in Taiwan

It plans to open more outlets in the country before the end of the year.

Potato Corner, the flavored fries chain from the Philippines, has opened its first Taiwan store at Uni-President Department Store in Taipei’s Xinyi District.

The launch marks Potato Corner’s entry into its 16th international market.

Since its acquisition by Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc. in 2022, the brand has expanded to 2,345 stores worldwide.

The Taiwan expansion is in partnership with Fujin Tree Group, a local lifestyle and F&B operator that manages 15 brands, including a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Fujin Tree founder Jay Wu said the group plans to open more Potato Corner outlets in Taiwan before the end of the year.
