Alibaba targets 100 million users with new Qwen AI features

Integration brings shopping into main AI platform.

Alibaba’s flagship online marketplace Taobao is now linked to the company’s artificial intelligence platform Qwen, allowing users to shop through AI, according to a Bloomberg report.

The integration connects Taobao with supporting Alibaba services including payment platform Alipay, travel site Fliggy, and mapping app Amap.

Alibaba aims to make Qwen a one-stop platform where its 100 million users can shop, book travel, and pay for services through a single interface.

The new features are currently open for public testing in China.

The report said  the integration allows users to search for products, make purchases and access services directly through the AI interface, bringing multiple consumer functions into a single application.
