Temu triples brand monitoring to over 15,000
It resolves IP complaints in less than 24 hours on average.
Temu has expanded its intellectual property (IP) protection program, tripling the number of brands it proactively monitors to more than 15,000, according to its 2026 Intellectual Property Protection Report covering June 2025 to May 2026.
The report said the ratio of proactive removals of potentially infringing listings to reactive takedowns increased to 331:1, up from about 200:1 a year earlier.
Temu's detection database now contains more than 47 million images and 9.5 million keywords, whilst the company said it resolves IP complaints in less than 24 hours on average.
The company also reported that more than 40% of new seller applicants were rejected during onboarding after failing verification checks, and more than 16,000 stores were removed for repeated IP violations during the reporting period.
Every product listing is screened before going live and continues to be monitored after publication, Temu said.
The company also introduced a feature that blocks searches for terms such as "fake," "dupe," and "counterfeit," preventing more than 80,000 such searches daily.
Through its Brand Guardian Initiative, launched in 2024, Temu said it now works with more than 3,000 brands, including around 500 small and medium-sized enterprises, to improve early detection of potential IP infringements.
The company also expanded its engagement with the intellectual property community, working with more than 130 industry associations during the year and joining the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC) in April 2026.
It also collaborates with the International Trademark Association (INTA) and France's Union des Fabricants (Unifab).
Temu said it will continue investing in technology, enforcement, and partnerships to strengthen intellectual property protection on its platform.
