JD.com accelerates Hong Kong expansion with first JD MALL
Plans to open up to eight more stores in the region within three years.
JD.com will open its first JD MALL in Hong Kong on 18 June, located in Wan Chai, marking its expansion into the Greater Bay Area and overseas retail markets.
The Wan Chai store covers over 30,000 square feet (about 2,800 sqm), making it one of Hong Kong’s largest home appliance specialty retail spaces. JD MALL plans to open six to eight more stores in Hong Kong over the next three years, targeting districts such as Sha Tin, Mong Kok, and Tuen Mun.

The store will operate under a localised supply chain model described as “sourced in Hong Kong, sold in Hong Kong,” with all products meeting local standards.
It will feature a wide range of home and lifestyle products, including large and small appliances, electronics, smart home systems, AI devices, and robotics. Key brands showcased will include global names such as Bosch, Siemens, Samsung, and Sony, alongside technology brands like DJI and Xiaomi.
Chinese homegrown brands such as TCL, Hisense, Gree, Haier, Casarte, and JOMOO will also be featured, with several making their Hong Kong retail debut through dedicated experience zones.

A key highlight of JD MALL’s retail concept is its immersive, scenario-based shopping model. Customers will be able to test products in real-life setups before purchase, covering dedicated zones for robotics, coffee, PC gaming, relaxation, massage equipment, and smart home solutions.
Services include seven-day returns for appliances, 180-day defect replacement, price guarantees, same-day delivery for morning orders, and same-day installation for selected products.
JD.com said Hong Kong is a key strategic market and confirmed over HKD 35 billion invested in the city.
The company aims to onboard 1,000 brands, open 200 offline retail locations, and create 10,000 jobs in the city over the next three years, spanning retail, logistics, technology, healthcare, and property sectors.
