Guardian Health & Beauty won the Health & Beauty Retailer of the Year - Singapore category at the Retail Asia Awards 2026 for its health and beauty retail work across pharmacy services, wellness, omnichannel retail, and customer engagement. Established in 1972 as a retail pharmacy, Guardian is the leading wellness retailer and operates more than 115 stores nationwide.
The retailer built its health proposition around Singapore’s largest network of award-winning pharmacists. Its pharmacists provide support beyond medicine dispensing, including patient-care counselling, chronic condition management, diabetes care, smoking cessation counselling, blood pressure monitoring, minor ailment consultations, and supplement guidance. Pharmacist-led wellness content online reached more than four million social media views, giving consumers access to health information outside the store environment.
Guardian elevated their in-store experience with a refreshed look and feel, brought to life through five purpose-built wellness zones: health and wellness, derma skincare, men’s grooming, trial and travel products, and Guardian’s Picks. By offering clearly defined, need-based zones, Guardian helps customers navigate by their specific concerns rather than by brand, creating a more intuitive shopping experience. The experience is further enhanced by AI-powered skin and scalp assessments, enabling customers to receive personalised insights, solutions, and product recommendations within minutes.
Omnichannel access is central to Guardian’s retail strategy, enabling customers to shop seamlessly across its owned e-commerce platforms as well as marketplaces like Shopee, and Foodpanda. A standout example of this approach is the Health & Beauty Fiesta 2025 at Marina Bay Sands, which brought together physical, digital, and social touchpoints into one integrated experience. The event combined a three-day flagship showcase with month-long in-store and online activations, amplifying reach and engagement beyond the venue. Featuring more than 80 brands, the campaign attracted over 15,000 attendees, generating over 185 million impressions.
Guardian’s community work includes partnerships with the Health Promotion Board, Singapore Cancer Society, National Healthcare Group, Agency for Integrated Care, Children’s Wishing Well, and Mandai Wildlife Reserves.
