Unity Pharmacy wins at Retail Asia Awards 2026 for digital wellness achievements

The drugstore operator expanded its store network and introduced AI-driven health analysis tools for preventive health care.

Unity Pharmacy, The Health & Wellness Partner won Drugstore of the Year - Singapore in the Retail Asia Awards 2026. This recognition comes as the company evolves the traditional pharmacy model from a place of treatment into a destination for proactive health and everyday wellbeing.

The company strengthened its presence across the city-state between 2024 and 2025. Unity Pharmacy expanded its network from 93 to 98 stores during this period especially within supermarkets nationwide, ensuring health and wellness solutions remain accessible across more local communities.

Beyond its physical growth, Unity Pharmacy introduced  its one-of-a-kind, Wellness Genie to enhance the in-store experience. This tool represents the first AI-powered wellness analysis experience in a retail pharmacy environment in Singapore. It conducts a complete body composition review  from its Body Composition Analyser to help customers understand their BMI, muscle mass %, and fat %, and recommends health supplements based on their individual health needs.

Customers complete a health assessment and receive personalised insights based on lifestyle habits and health conditions. These recommendations guide shoppers toward appropriate supplements, supported by pharmacist expertise to ensure recommendations are appropriate and trusted. The digital platform also allows users to download results to track health indicators over time.

Unity Pharmacy addresses the challenge of encouraging preventive health behaviours by embedding these tools into the FairPrice grocery shopping journey. By integrating health insights into the regular grocery journey, the company makes proactive wellness discovery and solutions more convenient and meaningful for the everyday shopper, all within 3 minutes.

The platform has demonstrated strong customer engagement since launch. The Wellness Genie recorded thousands of unique users with an average engagement time of 131 seconds. It also achieved a 14% product click-through rate, which indicates a strong impact on how customers discover and decide on health products.

Recent expansions, such as the outlet at FairPrice Tengah Parc Point, feature the Active Living Zone. This area curates specific wellness categories including gut & digestive health, bone health and sleep support s to help customers navigate preventive solutions easily.
