K11 MUSEA boosts visitor numbers during Chinese New Year

Footfall rose 10% YoY from 16 to 22 February.

New World Development Company Limited reported an increase in visitor numbers and spending at its international cultural‑retail landmark, K11 MUSEA, during this year’s Chinese New Year Golden Week.

From 16 to 22 February, footfall rose 10% year-on-year, the highest since opening, while tourist spending jumped 60%, including a single purchase exceeding $255k (HK$2m).

Festive activities, such as a Lion Dance by Keung’s Dragon & Lion Dance Team, the launch of “Voyage of Flavours” e-Vouchers, and a collaboration with Alipay boosted visitor engagement.

Additionally, member sales increased 54%, with watches and jewellery up 140% and international luxury brands up 40%.

Harbour-view restaurants, including Deng G, Greyhound Café Galleria, and Unagi Yondaime Kikukawa, also saw near-full reservations during the Victoria Harbour fireworks on the second day of Chinese New Year.

New World Development said it remains optimistic about the year’s retail outlook, expecting K11 MUSEA to maintain strong footfall and sales momentum during the upcoming Labour Day Golden Week in Mainland China.
