New JD.com-CBBC deal opens China market for British businesses

The deal connects British companies to JD.com’s 700 million customers.

China’s JD.com has signed a partnership with the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) to help more UK brands enter the Chinese market.

Under the deal, CBBC will work with JINGDONG Cross-border to connect British companies with JD.com’s platform.

JD.com will provide market insights, operational support and logistics services to help UK brands sell to its 700 million customers in China.

CBBC Chair Sir Sebastian Wood said the partnership aims to give UK companies clearer routes to market and support long-term UK-China trade.

JD.com also highlighted its UK National Pavilion as a key channel for British brands, noting strong recent sales, led by home appliances, healthcare, personal care and baby products.

The company also confirmed plans to launch its UK retail platform, Joybuy, in March, offering fast delivery and branded goods nationwide.

JD.com said it is expanding its UK warehousing operations and its delivery network, JoyExpress, to support the rollout.
