BillEase, Alipay+ partner to enable Filipino consumers to shop online globally

BillEase is the first BNPL firm in the Philippines to partner with Alipay+.

Philippines-based buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider, BillEase, has partnered with Alipay+ to allow Filipino consumers to transact online with global merchants and “pay in light” and card-free instalments through the Filipino consumer finance app.

In a statement, BillEase said it is the first BNPL provider in the country that partnered with Alipay+.

“This partnership is also a major boost for financial inclusion in the Philippines as it will make not only financial services more accessible to millions of Filipinos but also global online merchants reaching wider and more diverse customers like ours,” said Georg Steiger, CEO & Co-Founder of BillEase.

BillEase has over 2,000 merchant partners like the Philippine Airlines, Power Mac, Center, Anson’s, Vivo, Kimstore, and Focus Global, Inc..

Meanwhile, Alipay+, which Ant Group operates, has reached over 2.5 million online and offline merchants globally.
