Fast Retailing to reopen MINA TENJIN in 2023

The facility will have a total sales area of over 22,000 square metres.

Fast Retailing Co. announced its plans to renovate its commercial facility MINA TENJIN in Fukuoka, Japan.

The commercial facility, targeted to be completed by the spring of 2023, will have a large-scale commercial center with a total sales area of over 22,000 square metres. This is approximately more than double its size today.

“This revitalization is expected to significantly increase foot traffic in the Tenjin area, including office workers and customers coming to the area for shopping,” the company said.

MINA TENJIN will be a 9-story building with an area of up to 2,600 sq. m. per floor.

The first three floors of the building will be renovated with glass exterior walls befitting a new, bright shopping street, whilst still preserving its historic features.

“The complex will focus on attracting tenants dealing in daily necessities that will utilize this spacious area to open large stores, creating a facility that will become an integral part of the everyday lives of customers,” Fast Retailing said.

The commercial facility will also feature brands under the company, such as UNIQLO, GU, PLST, and Theory.
