UNIQLO launches mask brand in Singapore

It employs a triple-layer structure, and is machine washable.

UNIQLO has launched its AIRism Mask at all stores in Singapore, including online at its e-commerce website, according to a press release.

The mask employs a triple-layer structure, with the centre of the mask employing a filter that delivers a bacterial filtration efficiency of 99%, blocking bacteria and pollen. Sandwiching the filter is AIRism mesh fabric, and the triple-layer has UV Cut UPF50+.

It was also made to be machine washable with regular household detergent, with a testing institution revealing that the filter inside the triple-layer structure retains its efficacy.

With the official launch of the masks, UNIQLO will also be distributing a mask each to the full fleet of foodpanda riders as part of its partnership with the food delivery platform since 27 July.

The partnership rolled out a so-called 3-in-1 Life Package in Singapore consisting of a UNIQLO Eco Bag, $3.65 (S$5) foodpanda voucher and $3.65 (S$5) foodpanda shops vouchers, which can be redeemed from 30 July to 10 August, according to a press release.

The package can be availed with a minimum spend of $65.74 (S$90) across UNIQLO’s online and physical stores island-wide, excluding Changi Airport Terminal 1.
