Deliveroo posts 104% jump in vegan orders in 2020 YTD

An increase in the number of vegan restaurant partners has also been seen.

Deliveroo recorded a 104% YoY growth in vegan orders in YTD 2020, according to an announcement. The delivery company also recorded a 100%+ YoY jump in the number of restaurant partners serving vegan options.

From January until the present, Deliveroo has seen a 20% increase in vegan order volume with a number of Deliveroo partner restaurants serving up vegan items tripling to 266 from 80 in 2019.

Almost every district across the city has seen a boost in restaurants that offer plant-based dishes on the platform. The number of Deliveroo partner restaurants in Central serving up vegan items more than doubled in the past year, with a 40% YoY rise over the same period last year.

More districts are also seeing growth in the past year, with Deliveroo boosting its vegan option coverage to encompass all districts covered by the platform.
