SUGI Holdings to enter Thailand’s health and beauty care industry
Together with Retail Business Public, all parties will present a new store concept by mid-2024.
Japan-based holding company SUGI Holdings Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Co., Ltd. for its entry into the health and beauty care business in Thailand.
Under the agreement, all involved entities will explore the opportunities in Thailand’s health and beauty market with a quality curation of products for Thai consumers.
Additionally, the three companies will launch a new retail format, offering access, convenience, and personalised experiences for customers. The new store concept will be released by mid-2024. Meanwhile, PTT’s oil and retail unit will establish a “future network” that will offer diverse lifestyle needs for health and beauty.

The alliance intends to expand over the region, offering an extensive range of unique products and recognising the new value creation that brings both economic and social value to the retail sector of the Asian region.
The SUGI Pharmacy Group has operated over 1,700 stores in Kanto, Chubu, Kansai and Hokuriku with over 4,000 pharmacists, 500 nationally-certified dieticians and 1,200 beauty experts. It has continually led the industry as the operator of prescription-dispensing drugstores.
