PUMA Japan names new general manager

Ryokusai Inoue held positions as director of retail in PUMA and country manager of Tesla.

Leading sports company PUMA has appointed Ryokusai Inoue as the new general manager of its Japan division, with immediate effect.

Ryokusai replaces Kohei Hagio, who held the position since 2021.

Ryokusai joined PUMA in 2015 as director of retail, helping mould the growth and success of PUMA in the Japanese market through its channels. He also established retail teams that supported the continuous growth of the sports brand in the territory.

Before returning to PUMA, he worked as the country manager for Tesla Japan.

“I am very confident that with his vast experience in retail and his understanding of PUMA’s culture, products and sales, Ryokusai is the right candidate to take PUMA Japan to the next level,” Arne Freundt, CEO of PUMA, commented about Ryokusai’s hiring.
