Retail Asia Awards to recognise outstanding retailers in Asia as nominations open
Deadline for submission of entries is on 25 March 2022.
Retail Asia continues to celebrate retail excellence in the region amidst a transformative year for the industry as it proudly brings back the Retail Asia Awards, now in its 17th edition.
Highlighting outstanding performance in the retail industry since 2004, the Retail Asia Awards is a prestigious programme that gathers Asia’s best retailers and recognises their most outstanding retail initiatives.
As the rapid acceleration of digital adoption and the ever-changing consumer demand change the game for the retail industry, top retailers have begun tapping on new value and revenue streams and strategising their customer engagement practices.
For The Mall Group Chief Marketing Officer Voralak Tulaphorn, this means putting the customers as the focus of their whole project, looking into and mapping their whole customer journey and seeing how this can be improved.
The company has clinched four major awards in last year’s award programme, namely: Mall of the Year, Brand Transformation of the Year, Store Design of the Year and Supermarket of the Year categories for Thailand.
“I think it's a reward for the team. For us, it’s a big recognition. The first time it's been announced and sent out to us, I think everyone was screaming, yelling and happy laughing, and they were cheerful because their hard work has, you know, been recognised,” Tulaphorn said.
Nomination is free and will be judged based on uniqueness and innovation, success and impact, and dynamism. The winners in the awards programmes will be determined by a distinguished panel of experts.
