IKEA is transforming its customer experience with the introduction of Upptäcka self-service kiosks across all stores.

The Upptäcka kiosks empower customers by offering expanded product exploration capabilities and autonomous shopping options.

“This initiative supports the IKEA vision of creating a better everyday life for many people, by giving customers the ability to better explore our products from anywhere in the store, whilst also showing our commitment to our co-workers,” said Parag Parekh, CDO for IKEA Retail (Ingka Group).

Upptäcka kiosks enable shoppers to locate items, review product information, and seamlessly transition to making purchases on their personal devices, significantly reducing waiting times and enhancing overall satisfaction. 

This innovation not only benefits customers but also optimises IKEA's workforce efficiency, allowing employees to focus on more personalised customer interactions.
