Lotteria to open first Malaysia outlet this year

It plans to open 30 Lotteria stores in the country within five years.

Lotteria, operated by Lotte GRS Co., will open its first outlet in Malaysia later this year as part of its overseas expansion.

Lotte GRS signed a master franchise deal with local retailer Serai Group, giving them rights to open and operate outlets and sub-franchise in Malaysia.

The company plans to open 30 Lotteria stores in Malaysia within five years.

Separately, Lotte GRS will open its first U.S. outlet this month in Orange County, California.

Lotte GRS currently runs about 1,000 stores in South Korea and 320 overseas, including locations in Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Mongolia.
