Ingka Group partners with Infosys to enhance digital operations

It will outsource part of its digital expertise to enhance agility and efficiency.

Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, has announced a strategic partnership with Infosys to improve its digital operations.

According to group, the decision comes as it consistently evaluates and enhances its business model to ensure resilience and relevance for the future. The company has been actively investing in both new and existing stores, focusing on creating a seamless omnichannel experience whilst concurrently driving down prices to maintain its commitment to delivering top-notch customer experiences.

“After careful consideration and evaluation of our current operations, Ingka Group has identified opportunities to improve the delivery of digital tools and services to co-workers with speed, scale and flexibility,” said Parag Parekh, chief digital officer at Ingka Group.

“By partnering with Infosys, we will enhance our core business functions and further streamline operations,” he added.

The partnership with Infosys is expected to impact approximately 350 roles across several countries, including China, France, Germany, India, Poland, Sweden, and the United States. However, Ingka Group assures affected co-workers of support and assistance throughout the transition period.

“We believe this partnership will deliver even greater value to our business and customers in the long run,” said Parekh.
