ShopeePay launches personal accident insurance in new partnership

Users can confirm their eligibility through the ShopeePay and Shopee apps.

ShopeePay has introduced two new “Personal Accident insurance” plans in partnership with Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad.

The plans, priced at $11.82 (RM50) and $17.73 (RM75), are eligible under the government’s Perlindungan Tenang Voucher (PTV) Programme, which provides a $7.09 (RM30) subsidy to up to two million Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah recipients.

Eligible customers can access coverage starting at $4.73 (RM20), excluding SST, through the subsidy.

Users can confirm their eligibility for the PTV programme through the ShopeePay and Shopee apps. Applicants will be notified via email if their application is successful.

Moreover, approved applicants will receive a $2.36 (RM10) Shopee voucher with no minimum spend.
