FairPrice Group names 1st chief sustainability officer

Chan Teng See is tasked to drive the group's efforts towards sustainability.

Fairprice Group (FPG) appointed Chan Teng See as the company’s first chief sustainability officer who will lead the social sustainability efforts.

Aside from driving sustainability initiatives in the areas of promoting a circular and low-carbon economy, supporting livelihoods and well-being, and serving costumes, Teng See is also mandated to develop and execute long-term sustainability efforts in the group’s supply chains and stakeholders.

Prior to his appointment, Tee Seng served as the CEO of the Food Services Business at FPG and held various leadership roles within NTUC and NTUC Enterprise.

He also has over 30 years of experience in various industries and units within the NTUC ecosystem and was also the CEO of NTUC First Campus. Tee Seng led the business transformation initiatives of various social enterprises by implementing innovative digital solutions to increase value and productivity. 

The sustainability officer was also the chairman of the Singapore National Co-operative Federation from 2009 to 2017.
