Apex Footwear Limited wins three awards at Retail Asia Awards 2026

Apex Footwear paired AI styling, sustainability gains and record sales across its 500-store Bangladesh network.

Showcasing unparalleled digital innovation, environmental stewardship, and market leadership, Apex Footwear Limited was crowned winner in three categories at the Retail Asia Awards 2026: AI Initiative of the Year - Bangladesh, Sustainability Initiative of the Year - Bangladesh, and Footwear Retailer of the Year - Bangladesh.

A major highlight of the year was the Eid launch of the Apex AI Stylist. Shoppers uploaded 100,000 photos across 83,000 sessions, receiving 390,000 instant shoe suggestions. This innovation elevated the consumer journey and generated over $1,570 in direct revenue.

Environmental leadership also took center stage. Apex saves 4.6 million litres of groundwater annually via rainwater harvesting and runs the country's only full-phase LWG Gold-certified Effluent Treatment Plant. Through solar energy and a PET-to-Product circular economy that recycled 451 tons of waste, the company successfully cut CO₂ emissions by 2,507.20 tons this past year.

In retail, the company shattered financial records. The Founder's Day 2025 event brought in roughly $5.45m, whilst the Eid campaign generated an impressive $19.1m. The Founder's Day success was driven by a strategic two-day sale campaign; it leveraged aggressive day-one foot traffic and sustained the buying momentum with tailored day-two offers. These milestones drove a 7.5% YoY growth. Apex's footprint now exceeds 500 stores, serving a massive community of over 7 million shoppers. 5.8 million of whom are registered consumers – with a 57% repeat purchase rate.

To support the Eid rush, Apex deployed a 360-degree marketing strategy reaching 32 million people. However, the true backbone of this campaign was the total supply chain management and a rock-solid IT infrastructure. This operational strength allowed Apex to seamlessly introduce thousands of new styles and designs, placing a special spotlight on an extensive new ladies' collection.

Fulfilling 9,500 digital orders was just one part of the victory. Following the massive Eid sale, a nationwide survey revealed a 90.4% Customer Satisfaction Score. This exceptional metric proves that, beyond the technology and the numbers, it is customer satisfaction that truly empowers Apex to lead the footwear retail industry in the local market.
