Malaysia outperforms business expectations in past 12 months: Shopee

More than 145,ooo stores achieved a 25% growth in sales. 

Malaysia has outperformed business expectations in the past 12 months after over 145,000 stores grew 25% in sales, Shopee reported.

Shopee linked this growth to its improved customer service and optimised storefronts. 

Between January to September, Shopee found that more than 2,100 local sellers made over RM5million in sales. These sellers also maintained ratings of 4.9 out of 5.

These are also sellers that registered a quick chat response time of 125 minutes, and 99% delivered orders on time 

Moreover, some 1,700 local sellers of authentic Made-in-Malaysia goods marked RM1m in sales since listing on the marketplace thanks to Shopee's hyper-localised platform and e-commerce campaigns.
