Japan’s Nitori Retail enters Singapore

Its first store in the Lion City will open on 31 March.

Japanese furniture and home furnishing brand, Nitori Retail, will be opening its first store in Singapore on 31 March.

In a statement, Nitori said its debut store in Singapore is located on level four of COURTS Nojima The Heeren in Orchard Road, spanning 31,630 square feet.

This will also be the company’s second Southeast Asia showroom concept store, it said.

“With over 20 active years working with manufacturers in Southeast Asia, we are very excited to finally be expanding our retail footprint into the region. Our central location at COURTS Nojima The Heeren in Singapore is strategic and in line with our aim of enabling Singaporeans from all walks of life to freely design their homes with comfort and fun in mind,” said Soichi Oda, executive officer and Head-ASEA at Nitori Holdings Co. Ltd.

As part of the opening, Nitori will offer a free original shopping bag for purchases above $50, delivery for furniture for purchases of $599 and above, and a free N-Sleep Pillow Pad for the purchase of N-Sleep Bed matless from 31 March to 18 April.

Nitori Retail is planning to open 10 stores in Singapore in the next five years, and 3,000 stores and achieve sales of around $24.8b (¥3t) globally by 2032.
