Hermès unveils city-inspired retail concept at Taipei SOGO Fuxing
Store design inspired by Taipei’s architecture, light, and urban energy
Hermès has reopened its renovated and expanded store at SOGO Fuxing in Taipei, Taiwan.
The boutique, first opened in 2007, now features a redesigned three-floor layout inspired by the city’s energy and architecture.
The updated store showcases Hermès’ sixteen métiers across three levels, with interiors designed by Paris-based architecture firm RDAI.
The façade uses ceramic tiles in warm, natural tones, whilst the entrance features enamelled tiles referencing Taipei’s traditional roof shapes.
Inside, the ground floor presents silk, jewellery, fragrance, and beauty, highlighted by warm twilight-inspired tones and Hermès’ signature lighting.
The second floor houses leather goods and home collections, along with a private lounge and interiors reflecting the city’s neon aesthetic.
The top floor is dedicated to menswear, women’s shoes, and ready-to-wear, designed with natural light and locally inspired patterns.
The store also displays artworks from the Émile Hermès collection and the Hermès Collection of Contemporary Photographs, including works by French artist Jean-Baptiste Petit.
