What encourages online shoppers to trust more in cross-border stores?

Using their own currency is what compels online users to shop in cross-border stores.

Half of online shoppers prefer buying from stores and merchants that use or make available their local currencies, according to a survey by DHL eCommerce.

Of the 23 countries surveyed, Australia is the most responsive with 63% of participants relying on online pricing in local currencies that give them reassurance, followed by India with 62% and South Africa with 61%.

The report also showed 49% of global customers wanted a “free and simple” returns policy, and 47% favouring online stores to provide clear information on customs charges.
