Shopee is top e-commerce platform amongst Indonesian TikTok shop users

It is followed by Tokopedia and Lazada.

Shopee is the most popular e-commerce platform amongst TikTok shop users in Indonesia, with 73% saying they have recently purchased from the app, according to a survey by YouGov. 

TikTok closed its e-commerce unit in Indonesia following the government's ban on online shopping via social media platforms.

To re-enter the Indonesian market, TikTok will be partnering with GoTo's Tokopedia, wherein it acquired a majority stake in Tokopedia for $840m.

Based on the survey, Tokopedia only comes second to Shopee, with only 39% of Indonesian consumers shopping on the platform recently.

It is then followed by Lazada (22%), Bukalapak (6%) Blibli (5%), and Zalora (2%).

Shopee is also the top e-commerce platform amongst frequent online shoppers or those who make multiple online purchases every month at 77%.

Tokopedia also comes second at 43%, followed by Lazada (24%), Bukalapak (7%), Blibli (6%) and Zalora (3%).

For TikTok shoppers who buy on various e-commerce platforms, Shopee is still leading at 71%, with Tokopedia trailing at 32%, followed by Lazada at 23%.
