DMALL builds Southeast Asian momentum with AI-driven retail platform
DMALL brings its integrated retail platform to Southeast Asia, unifying store operations and supply chain management.
As retailers across Southeast Asia navigate rising operational complexity, shifting consumer expectations, and tighter margins, the need for integrated, intelligent retail systems has become increasingly urgent.
DMALL is positioning itself at the centre of this transformation.
One of China’s largest retail digital solutions providers by revenue and gross merchandise volume, DMALL supports close to 600 retail clients globally across supermarket, convenience store, department store, and health and beauty formats. Its platform was developed through large-scale deployments within China’s highly competitive retail sector, including long-standing collaboration with Wumart Group and major retail players such as Pang Dong Lai, Metro China, Aldi China, Lawson China, and 7-Eleven South China.
DMALL has established operations across more than 10 countries and regions, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, and is actively expanding its footprint across Southeast Asia.
“Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic retail markets globally, but also one of the most operationally complex,” said Mr Zhongwei Ren, Partner and Chief Strategy Officer of DMALL. “Retailers are managing multiple formats, supply chains, and rising customer expectations. What we are seeing is a clear shift towards integrated, real-time operating models.”
From fragmented systems to integrated operations
At the core of DMALL’s offering is a cloud-native retail operating system that integrates the entire retail value chain, from procurement and supply chain to merchandising, store operations, and headquarters management.
The platform replaces fragmented legacy systems with a unified operating layer, enabling real-time coordination and execution across the business.
This includes capabilities such as automated replenishment, demand forecasting, inventory management, and AI-enabled in-store technologies, allowing retailers to respond more quickly to demand and improve execution at scale.
“Our role is to provide a unified platform that connects the entire retail value chain,” Ren added. “This helps retailers improve execution, respond faster to demand, and scale more effectively across the region.”
Singapore deployment as a regional reference
DMALL’s recent deployment with Cold Storage Singapore represents a significant milestone in its Southeast Asia strategy.
The project involved rolling out its integrated platform across 87 stores, covering supermarket, hypermarket, and express formats. Completed within seven months, the implementation consolidated multiple operational systems into a single platform.
For Cold Storage, the impact is already visible at the store level.
“The implementation has strengthened how we operate across our stores,” said Mr Lim Boon Cheong, Managing Director of Cold Storage Singapore. “With better visibility across supply chain and store operations, we are able to respond more quickly to demand and improve product availability on shelves.”
He added that the system has also enabled more consistent execution across the network, contributing directly to a better shopping experience for customers.
Growing demand across Southeast Asia
Across Southeast Asia, retailers are facing increasing complexity as they scale operations across multiple locations, formats, and channels. This has driven growing demand for integrated platforms that can connect supply chain, store execution, and data insights.
“As retail operations scale across multiple locations, the need for a unified system becomes critical. Integrated platforms that connect supply chain, store operations, and data insights allow retailers to improve execution and respond more effectively to changing customer demand.”
Positioned for regional growth
DMALL’s approach reflects a broader shift in the industry, from standalone systems towards integrated platforms that support real-time decision-making.
With its experience in managing large-scale retail environments and its growing presence in Southeast Asia, DMALL is positioning itself as a partner for retailers looking to modernise operations and scale more efficiently.
As the region’s retail sector continues to evolve, the ability to integrate systems, data, and operations will be key to sustaining growth and competitiveness.
