Swarovski earns recognition at Retail Asia Awards 2025

The brand took home an award for delivering joyful extravagance with Raya Pop-Up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Swarovski was named the recipient of the Pop-up Retail Project of the Year - Malaysia accolade at the Retail Asia Awards 2025.

This award was given to the brand after it brought Raya celebrations to life with an exclusive pop-up at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in March 2024. The event transformed the Centre Court atrium into a display of luxury and cultural celebration.

Titled "Joyful Extravagance," the immersive installation drew thousands of visitors who were in awe of its stunning design, personalised shopping experiences, and interactive activities.

Inspired by the spirit of Hari Raya and the brilliance of Swarovski crystals, the pop-up featured four vibrant octagonal structures that symbolise crystal perfection.

Visitors were welcomed by the Swarovski Creators Lab booth, where a show-stopping gown by Rizalman Couture—adorned with over 83,900 Swarovski crystals—stood as a centrepiece. Alongside it, a number of Bawal Exclusive scarves were featured—one of which, the Supernova scarf, was recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records in 2020 as the Most Expensive Bawal Scarf in the World, embellished with Swarovski crystals.

The pop-up also brought together highlights from the Swarovski Creators Lab collection. Amongst these were the standout pieces AQUAZZURA Aura sandals, Phileo 005 Crystal Derby shoes, and the PIPATCHARA x SWAROVSKI “Mini AMU” bag. 

Another highlight was the Swarovski Tiara, crafted from 233 mixed-cut crystals. Elegantly shaped by hand and plated with precious metals, it showcases the brand's exceptional craftsmanship.

Moreover, the event included a Swarovski tunnel lined with LED lights, which led visitors to a photo booth. Guests were also allowed to explore Swarovski’s latest jewellery collections, elegant timepieces, and signature crystal creations at dedicated merchandising zones.

Exclusive Raya-themed offerings included branded tote bags and headscarves customised with crystal initials and icons. It also gave away Swarovski shoelaces to the first 600 visitors.  Shoppers were treated as well to green packets, gold candles, a crystallised glass set, and a Swarovski water carafe.

These experiences helped drive both footfall and engagement and, most importantly, resulted in 783 new Swarovski Club member sign-ups during the campaign period.

Swarovski’s grand launch was even graced with the presence of over 20 top-tier media outlets. It was further elevated by the attendance of local celebrities and influencers such as Scha Alyahya, Awal Ashaari, Misha Omar, Nadhir Nasar, Sharifah Rose, Chryseis Tan, Rubini Sambanthan, Zhen Ning and Jack Gohr.

Together, the celebrities’ and influencers’ content generated an impressive 397,200 views and reached 352,700 audiences across social media platforms.

The Retail Asia Awards honours the achievements and innovations of the key players in the retail industry in the Asia-Pacific region. The annual event also serves as a showcase of the diverse range of categories in various aspects of the sector.
