Guerlain clinches Retail Asia Awards win for ultimate boutique opening

The opening celebrates the Maison's collection of exclusive fragrances L'Art & La Matière.

Travel retail brand Guerlain clinched the In-store Customer Experience of the Year - China category win at the recently held Retail Asia Awards for its successful opening of the first ultimate boutique at CDFG Xin Hai Gang in October 2022. From highly contemporary, refined aesthetics to a client experience enriched with extraordinary enchantments and attentive tailored touches, this Ultimate Boutique becomes an exceptional destination, offering a truly beautiful journey situated at the crossroads of fragrance and art.

The launch of the boutique celebrates the Maison's collection of exclusive fragrances L'Art & La Matière. The creations form a collection of olfactory masterpieces envisioned and crafted with savoir-faire, rigour, and passion.

Conceived by art and sculpted with the finest ingredients used in the perfumery, the fragrance trail becomes more than a signature. Each fragrance in the L'Art & La Matière collection is born of its own spark of inspiration, an artistic emotion that leaves an indelible mark on the perfumer's memory.

Moreover, each L'Art & La Matière fragrance is singular, and this unique in-store experience of olfactory discovery includes the option of adorning one's bottle in a variety of arrangements.

The plate placed on top of the bottle stopper can be chosen from amongst more than 10 iconic versions. To ensure the bottle is truly unique down to the last detail, colour options of gold, black, blue, red, pink, or green are available for the thread, whilst a choice of either gold or black is also available for the tassel. Bottles can also be engraved with initials, a name, or a short message.

In addition to the 117 sqm dedicated to the ultimate boutique, Guerlain also managed to negotiate an additional 37 sqm to open its flagship facialist Orchidée Impériale Black suite.
