ChillFill targets 3x growth in APAC frozen potato market
The manufacturer posted 50% annual growth across five APAC markets and is now expanding into value-added frozen product lines.
ChillFill Foods is seeking to triple its frozen potato business in Asia-Pacific over the next five years, supported by demand from foodservice operators and retail customers.
Speaking in an interview during the Thailand Food Exhibition 2026, Kunal Patel, Managing Partner of ChillFill Foods, said the company has supplied frozen potato products to APAC markets for the past three years. Its main markets include the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia.
ChillFill sells products such as French fries, hash brown nuggets and cheese shots. Patel said the company has recorded year-on-year growth of nearly 50% over the past three years, with further expansion expected to come from value-added and differentiated products.
“We still believe that we can grow more than three times in our next five years,” Patel said.
The target reflects rising interest in ready-to-cook frozen products as restaurants and retailers look for speed, consistency and cost control. However, the company’s expansion will depend on its ability to deepen distribution and compete with larger suppliers, local producers and private-label alternatives.
For ChillFill, the opportunity is to build scale in markets where frozen potato consumption is still developing. The challenge will be converting early growth into repeat demand across countries with different restaurant formats, retail structures and price sensitivities.
